Most years DP:UK organises a conference or seminar to discuss topical themes.  This is open to all tourism officers, not just those representing destinations in membership.  Members do, however, get a discounted delegate fee.

In organising our events we liaise with other national bodies such as the BRADA and TMI to ensure as far as possible that there is no clash of dates and duplication of topics.

In 2005 we held a joint seminar with the LGA that looked at aspects of performance management and the Baseline Report. 

In 2006 we held a second joint seminar with the LGA that covered performance evaluation, topical tourism issues including the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and the future of the TIC network.

For 2007 our seminar 'Partners for England & Performance Evaluation in Visitor Destinations'.
